Requirements

Beware!  Don’t say we didn’t warn you – creating and conducting ceremonies isn’t a job for the faint-hearted!   You will be self-employed, so you will need to be highly organised and have the utmost high standard of customer service.

You will need a home office with a laser printer and connection to the internet, and you must also be creative and proficient in Microsoft Word.  You must also be highly organised and able to manage and work to a strict schedule.

Don’t think you will be hitting the jackpot financially either,  for each and every ceremony you will need to put in at least 25 hours to ensure the ceremony is as polished and as special as it can be.

But the work is very unique and rewarding in so many ways, and for the right person, becoming an Indpendent Ceremonies Celebrant / Officiant is one of the most fulfilling roles you could imagine, with the right kind of backup and ongoing support behind you.

If you feel the calling and you think you have what it takes to join us, your first step is to register for our information evening so we can answer any questions you might have.

Our training commences in February and July of each year.

Free information semniars are held at various times throughout the year.

Next Information Seminar:

  • 7:30pm–9pm Tuesday  TBA – Cork City

Scholarships are also available for those with a genuine calling to the work but who do not have the capacity to pay full enrolment fees.  Please ask about our Scholarship program.
